NewCakes supports The Ronald McDonald Children's Fund with twinkle activities

This year, NewCakes will provide twinkle activities for guests of the three holiday homes of the Ronald McDonald Children’s Fund to give families with long-term sick children or children with disabilities the time and space to reconnect. Twinkle activities are offered to their guests in the holiday homes during the (school) holidays and are no-obligation activities in which children participate under the supervision of parents or care assistants. With a cupcake baking workshop and decorating it with various cheerful sprinkles, we provide a creative afternoon full of colour and fun. We also hope that the little and big guests of the Children’s Valley will get a twinkle in their eyes from the smell and taste of a freshly baked cupcake.

The FunCakes team will kick off the twinkling event at De Kindervallei in Valkenburg, Limburg. De Kindervallei is located in the hilly landscape of Valkenburg. The building is specially designed as a work of art, making it seem as if guests are stepping into another world. Besides De Kindervallei in Limburg, twinkling activities will also be held at the Boshuus in Gelderland and the Hoeve in Friesland.

The Ronald McDonald Children’s Fund offers a ‘home away from home’ to parents, siblings of sick or disabled children admitted to a hospital or rehabilitation centre. There are also three adapted holiday homes where families can spend carefree holidays. The houses are furnished and adapted so that care-intensive children and young people, who have long-term illnesses or disabilities, can enjoy a carefree holiday with their families.
